Alina Archibald leads Expert Insights with a focus on compliance, accounting information systems, and internal controls auditing. Her professional background bridges information systems design with rigorous financial and technical oversight in both the public and private sectors.
In addition to directing operations at Expert Insights, Alina serves as the Grantee External Audit Compliance Manager for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). In this capacity, she provides critical oversight for federal and state grant programs, ensuring comprehensive alignment with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) and the Illinois Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA). Her work ensures accountability, proper governance, and financial responsibility across public sector grant allocations.
Prior to her current role, Alina has audited for multiple state agencies, managing complex audits, overseeing third-party audit firms, and leading teams of unclaimed property examiners. Her extensive public agency audit experience shapes her focus on building practical, business-aligned compliance frameworks that survive auditor scrutiny.
